OBC Morcha Member Urges BJP to Allocate 50% Assembly Seats to BCs
Hyderabad, August 21 – Perika Suresh, a member of the OBC Morcha National Social Media Team, has called upon the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to allocate 50 percent of assembly seats to Backward Classes (BCs) in the forthcoming assembly elections. This appeal was made during a working committee meeting of the Samyuktha Morcha, held in Hyderabad on Monday.

During the meeting, Perika Suresh formally presented his proposal to National General Secretary Bandi Sanjay and State Party Affairs In-charge Tarun Chugh. He argued that by providing a greater number of seats to BCs, the party could enhance its prospects of winning more seats in the upcoming 2023 assembly elections. Suresh emphasized the need for the BJP to prioritize BC communities, which constitute a significant 56 percent of the state’s population.
Suresh also issued a call to action for all BCs, urging them to rally behind the BJP as they strive to come to power in the state. The event witnessed the participation of State President of OBC Morcha, Ale Bhaskar, and various other prominent members.
This development showcases the growing importance of BC representation in political decision-making processes as parties seek to connect with diverse voter bases ahead of the upcoming elections.
