In a significant diplomatic meeting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with President of the USA, Joseph R. Biden in New Delhi. President Biden, on his inaugural visit to India as President, is set to participate in the G20 Summit in New Delhi from September 9-10, 2023.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Modi expressed his deep appreciation for President Biden’s visionary approach and unwavering commitment to strengthening the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership. This partnership is founded on shared democratic values, strategic alignment, and robust people-to-people connections.
Both leaders praised the substantial progress made in implementing the forward-looking and extensive outcomes from Prime Minister Modi’s historic State visit to the United States in June 2023. This progress encompasses various areas, notably the India-U.S. Initiative for Critical and Emerging Technology (iCET).
The leaders also welcomed the ongoing momentum in bilateral cooperation, spanning defense, trade, investment, education, healthcare, research, innovation, culture, and interpersonal relationships.

President Biden conveyed warm congratulations to Prime Minister Modi and the people of India for the monumental achievement of Chandrayaan-3’s successful landing near the lunar south pole. He highlighted the growing collaboration between the two nations in the field of space exploration.

Furthermore, the two leaders engaged in discussions on various regional and global matters, emphasizing the mutually beneficial nature of the India-US partnership, which not only serves the interests of their respective citizens but also contributes positively to global well-being.
