New Delhi, September 21: Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi once again caught people by surprise as he visited a railway station in New Delhi and engaged in conversations with the porters to understand their concerns.
According to sources within the party, Rahul Gandhi made his way to the Anand Vihar Railway Station with the intention of conversing with the coolies, also known as porters.
During his visit, Gandhi had extensive discussions with the porters, delving into the challenges they face in their daily lives, as per the sources.
This visit by the Congress leader follows requests from a few porters who had urged him to meet and comprehend their issues while advocating for their betterment.

In recent months, Rahul Gandhi has been making unannounced visits to various sections of society, surprising many with his accessibility and grassroots interactions. He has ventured into local markets, dined at eateries in the Jama Masjid area, interacted with UPSC aspirants in Mukherjee Nagar, and even had lunch with students at Delhi University’s PG Men’s hostel.
Gandhi also took a truck ride from Murthal in Haryana to Ambala to connect with the concerns of truck drivers. His engagements extended to visiting farmlands during the paddy sowing season, interacting with farmers in Haryana’s Sonepat, and exploring bike mechanic shops in Delhi’s Karol Bagh area.
In response to the skyrocketing prices of vegetables, he visited Azadpur Mandi and invited both farmers from Sonepat and a vegetable vendor named Rameshwar for lunch at his residence.
Recently, Rahul Gandhi undertook motorcycle rides through the Ladakh, Leh, and Kargil regions, further underlining his commitment to engaging with people from diverse walks of life.
