As part of a progressive initiative, the Chief Minister has proclaimed every Tuesday as a car-free day in Karnal, encouraging eco-friendly modes of transport. In a striking show of solidarity with this endeavor, Khattar chose to travel on a motorcycle, leading by example.

While the Chief Minister embarked on his solo motorcycle journey, his security personnel closely followed suit, riding their own motorcycles to ensure his safety and protection.

Khattar’s destination was Punjab’s vibrant city, Amritsar, where he was slated to attend the 31st meeting of the Northern Zonal Council (NZC) later in the day. The esteemed gathering will be presided over by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and will feature the participation of the Chief Ministers of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Rajasthan. Additionally, the Administrator of Chandigarh and the Lieutenant Governors of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, and Delhi will also join the deliberations.
