In a remarkable display of compassion and swift action, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy orchestrated a life-saving endeavor that showcased his unwavering commitment to saving lives. In an unprecedented move, a heart was transported from Guntur to Tirupati via a specially arranged helicopter, ensuring the timely delivery of this vital organ for a crucial transplant procedure at the Padmavathi Multi Specialty Hospital.
The heart recipient, 33-year-old Srinivas from Kothapeta, Kurnool district, was in dire need of a heart transplant to survive. This life-saving mission was made possible by the selfless act of the family members of 18-year-old Katta Krishna, who tragically became brain dead following an accident in Guntur.
CM Jaganmohan Reddy, known for his dedication to the welfare of his constituents, left no stone unturned to ensure the success of this life-saving operation. Recognizing the critical importance of time in such cases, he arranged for a special helicopter transport, allowing the heart to traverse the distance from Guntur to Tirupati in record time.
The heart’s journey began when it was airlifted from Guntur and reached Renigunta airport, where a dedicated green channel route was established to expedite its transfer to the Padmavathi Multi Specialty Hospital. A team of skilled doctors accompanied the heart, ensuring its safe arrival at the hospital.
Currently, the heart transplantation surgery is in progress at Padmavathi Multi Specialty Hospital in Tirupati, providing hope and a new lease on life for Srinivas. CM Jaganmohan Reddy’s compassionate and prompt action in this case underscores his commitment to extending a helping hand to those in dire need, even in the most critical medical situations.
