Jana Sena to Contest in 32 Assembly Seats, Focusing on Fulfilling Telangana Movement Aspirations

Hyderabad, October 2 – The Jana Sena Party has declared its intention to contest 32 assembly seats in the upcoming state elections, with a primary objective of realizing the aspirations of the Telangana movement. The party’s list of constituencies was unveiled on Monday, underlining their preparedness for the upcoming electoral battle in Telangana.

Bongunuri Mahender Reddy, the Vice-President of Jana Sena Party, expressed his readiness to contest this time, though he noted that any last-minute alliances could potentially lead to changes in the party’s seat allocation. He emphasized the party’s decade-long strong presence and dedicated cadre in the newly announced constituencies.

Party leader Pawan Kalyan announced plans to soon reveal the party’s comprehensive strategy for Telangana in Hyderabad. He highlighted Jana Sena’s robust voter support in approximately 25 assembly seats within the state and expressed confidence in the party’s potential to make a significant impact in the elections.

Kalyan also cited the party’s success in the Malkajgiri Parliament election as an example of their burgeoning influence. He affirmed Jana Sena’s commitment to contest the elections independently in the state, stressing that the party had actively engaged in numerous issues over the past decade, including opposition to uranium mining in the Nallamala forest regions, addressing women’s safety concerns, tackling drug-related problems, supporting RTC workers, and advocating for the rights of BC and ST communities and students.

The party’s list of candidates, to be announced shortly, will prioritize youth and women, aligning with Jana Sena’s founding principles. Mahender Reddy revealed that leadership has already been groomed within the newly designated constituencies.

In addition to Mahender Reddy, the press conference featured prominent party members such as Janasena Telangana Incharge N. Shankar Goud, GHMC President R. Rajalingam, and others.
