*Headline: Countdown to Ram Temple Consecration: Idol Selection in January, Guest List Finalized* Ayodhya (UP), Dec 19: The crucial selection of the Ram Lalla idol for the consecration ceremony at the Ram temple will take place in the first week of January, as announced by the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.

Champat Rai, the Trust’s general secretary, revealed that the guest list for the ceremony on January 22 has been finalized, with invitations already dispatched. Rai assured that all preparations would be wrapped up by January 15. Approximately 4,000 seers have been invited to the event, including the heads of the Kashi Vishwanath and Vaishnodevi temples.

Rai emphasized the significance of inviting about 100 members from the Vishva Hindu Parishad and 25 from the RSS, acknowledging their pivotal roles in the temple movement. Presently, a workforce of around 4,000 individuals operates in shifts at the site, contributing to various tasks. Of these, 400 workers will receive invitations to the consecration ceremony.

VHP working president Alok Kumar, RSS joint secretary Krishna Gopal, and functionary Ram Lal will personally extend invitations to guests based in Delhi. To ensure the well-being of attendees, Rai shared that a team of 150 doctors would be stationed in shifts three days before the event in Ayodhya.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat are expected to be present in the main mandap during the ceremony, according to Rai. Furthermore, administrative, police officials, and politicians associated with the temple movement or those deployed in Ayodhya in November-December 1992 have also received invitations.
