In a significant move to accommodate the festive season, the Telangana Government has officially declared Sankranti holidays spanning from January 12 to 17. This decision is anticipated to bring relief to the residents of the state, providing them with an extended break to celebrate the traditional harvest festival with their families and loved ones.

Recognizing the potential surge in passenger numbers during this period, the South Central Railway has announced a strategic plan to address the increased demand for transportation. Starting from January 7, the railway authorities are set to operate a total of 32 Sankranti Special Trains. This initiative is aimed at efficiently managing the anticipated extra rush of passengers during the festive season and ensuring a smooth travel experience for everyone.

The additional Sankranti Special Trains are expected to play a crucial role in easing the burden on the regular train services, allowing for better crowd management and enhanced travel convenience. Passengers are encouraged to take advantage of these supplementary train services, which have been strategically scheduled to coincide with the festive period.
As travelers make their plans for the holidays, it is advisable to consider the extended break announced by the Telangana Government and factor in the availability of the Sankranti Special Trains. This comprehensive approach by both the government and the South Central Railway aims to provide a seamless and efficient travel experience for the public during this joyous occasion.
