Tokyo, Jan 7: A seismic event measuring 5.1 magnitude struck the West Coast of Honshu, Japan, on Sunday, as reported by the GFZ German Research Center for Geosciences.

The earthquake, occurring at 0538 GMT, had its epicenter located at 37.36 degrees north latitude and 137.52 degrees east longitude, with a depth of 10.0 km. The incident drew attention to the region’s seismic activity, emphasizing the ongoing vigilance required for earthquake-prone areas.
