Encouraging a green revolution, State Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao emphasized the importance of planting saplings to secure the future for upcoming generations. The minister unveiled the brochure for the upcoming 15th Grand Nursery Mela at the Minister’s Quarters on Friday.
Scheduled to kick off on February 1, the All India Horticulture and Agriculture Show will take place at the Necklace Road People’s Plaza. The five-day exhibition promises to showcase a diverse range of horticulture products, fruits, vegetable gardens, fertilizers, organic products, agricultural energy-saving technology, agricultural science, education, and food industry products.

Minister Tummala highlighted that the event would feature the display of cutting-edge technologies such as hydroponics, terrace gardening, and vertical gardening. Over 150 nursery stalls from various parts of the country are set to participate, presenting a variety of plants from locations including Darjeeling, Kolkata, Delhi, Haryana, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Shirdi, Kadiam, Chennai, Telangana, and Andhra.
Khalid Ahmed, overseeing the organization of the mela, announced that Necklace Road would be accessible from 9 am to 10 pm during the event, which runs from February 1 to 5. Notably, a special attraction will be the availability of tissue culture variety date palm from Saudi Arabia.

This grand exhibition aims to promote greenery, sustainable agricultural practices, and the adoption of modern technologies for a greener and healthier future. Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao’s call to plant saplings resonates with the broader vision of building a sustainable and eco-friendly environment for generations to come.
