New Delhi, February 28th (PTI): Leading technology firm Tech Mahindra and global electronics manufacturing giant Pegatron have announced a significant collaboration, signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024. The partnership aims to develop advanced private AI-enabled 5G solutions tailored for global enterprises.
Harshvendra Soin, President – Asia Pacific and Japan Business at Tech Mahindra, expressed confidence in the venture, highlighting Tech Mahindra’s strong market presence, partnerships with telecommunications companies, and extensive experience in global 5G rollout. He emphasized the company’s commitment to delivering top-notch IT and network services to Pegatron.
According to sources, the collaboration will combine Pegatron’s purpose-built private 5G product portfolio, marketed through its 5G business unit, with Tech Mahindra’s expertise in large-scale 5G transformations. This synergy will enable the provision of comprehensive 5G for Enterprise (5G4E) solutions to global enterprises and manufacturing clients.
Dr. Shue, Chief Technology Officer at Pegatron, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting the opportunities it will unlock for enterprises worldwide. He emphasized the importance of leveraging AI-led use cases to optimize investments and create resilient and efficient network solutions. Moreover, the collaboration will facilitate the joint identification of global opportunities, with Pegatron contributing the 5G connectivity layer and Tech Mahindra providing end-to-end 5G services.
