Medical Team from SOT Raids Cockfighting Venue, Arrests Four Individuals

In an early morning operation, the medical team from SOT (Special Operations Team) swooped down on the premises of Thota Srinivas’ residence in Devarayanjal village, uncovering an illegal cockfighting event in progress. Four individuals were apprehended for their involvement in the illicit activity and have been identified as follows:
- Thota Srinivas – aged 58, hailing from Little England Venture, Devarayanjal, West Godavari District, and identified as the organizer of the event.
- Suryakanti Bhanu Prakash Reddy – aged 25, engaged in dairy business, residing near the Hanuman Statue in Munirabad (V), Medchal District.
- Bhupathi Rajagopal Krishna – aged 52, a businessman from Kutubullapur, N/o Chinkapuram (V) Akuveedu (M), Bhimavaram, WG District, AP.
- Nadimpalli Praveen Varma – aged 28, involved in Auqa Agribusiness, residing in Devarayanjal.
Notably, another individual named Necker Suresh, hailing from Munirabad, is currently at large and being pursued by authorities.
During the raid, the SOT medical team confiscated significant evidence, including three betting chickens, a sum of Rs. 18,410 in cash, three mobile phones, and twenty knives.
The seized property and the arrested individuals have been handed over to the Pet Bashirabad Police Station for further legal action.
