In a significant development ahead of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly and Lok Sabha elections, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and Janasena Party have declared their decision to contest together. Following discussions in Delhi involving BJP leaders Amit Shah, JP Nadda, Chandrababu Naidu, and Pawan Kalyan, a joint statement was issued, announcing the alliance and their inclusion in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

The statement, released by JP Nadda, Chandrababu Naidu, and Pawan Kalyan, highlighted the unity of the parties under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It underscored their commitment to the nation’s prosperity and the advancement of the people of Andhra Pradesh as the primary objectives of the alliance.

“The BJP, TDP, and Janasena will jointly contest the upcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha elections. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s unwavering dedication to India’s development over the past decade has been commendable. Now, with the partnership of TDP and Janasena, we aim to fulfill the aspirations of the people of Andhra Pradesh. The longstanding friendship between BJP and TDP dates back to 1996 when TDP joined the NDA. Since then, TDP has successfully collaborated with the governments of Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Narendra Modi.

In the 2014 elections, TDP and BJP contested together, with Janasena extending support during the general elections. Details regarding seat-sharing and other guidelines among the three parties will be announced soon. We are hopeful that our alliance will meet the expectations of the people of Andhra Pradesh and garner their wholehearted support,” the statement elaborated.

The BJP central office released this statement on behalf of JP Nadda, Chandrababu Naidu, and Pawan Kalyan, signaling a significant political development in Andhra Pradesh’s electoral landscape.
