Hyderabad: Chief Minister Enumula Revanth Reddy of Telangana has accused the arrest of Kalvakuntla’s poem as a coordinated effort between the KD and Modi factions aimed at undermining the Congress ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. In a media conference held at the CM’s residence on Saturday afternoon, prominent figures including Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and Konda Surekha, along with other party members, joined Revanth Reddy in expressing concern over what they termed as the prolonged investigation into the Delhi Liquor Scam, likening it to a television serial. The Chief Minister criticized the timing of the arrest, questioning its proximity to the election notification.
Revanth Reddy remarked on the apparent silence from both KCR and Modi regarding the arrests, attributing it to their alleged collaboration in what he labeled as “cheap politics.” He emphasized that the people of Telangana are closely observing these developments. Furthermore, Revanth Reddy asserted that the 100 days of Congress rule have been fruitful, highlighting accomplishments such as the initiation of schemes benefiting women and job creation. He lambasted the previous BRS administration for what he described as a decade of mismanagement and pledged to address longstanding issues.
Addressing speculation of a potential downfall of the current government, Revanth Reddy warned against any attempts to destabilize it, asserting that they are prepared to counter any such moves. Regarding the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, he cited survey results predicting success for the Congress in 12 seats, while criticizing BJP-BRS for what he deemed as divisive tactics. He rebuked Prime Minister Modi for his perceived neglect of Telangana and denounced his attempts to garner support in the state.
