HYDERABAD, FEBRUARY25
The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) will be undertaking a house-to-house program to strengthen the party at the field level in the Telangana state, according to TDP state president Kasani Gnaneshwar. The program will start from Sunday, with TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu inaugurating it at NTR Bhavan at 10 am. A huge public meeting is also scheduled to be held at the Parade Grounds on March 29 to mark TDP’s foundation day.
Kasani revealed that the door-to-door Telugu Desam program will be organized in villages, municipalities, corporations, and all divisions of Greater Hyderabad in the state. Special coordinators and observers have been appointed for the program, and they will be provided with special kits related to party membership registration through the hands of the party leader on Sunday. The program will continue for a month, during which TDP ranks will visit every house and take feedback from the people on their problems, and take up movement activities accordingly. Suggestions will also be taken from the people for TDP’s former glory.
To strengthen the TDP from the village level, local party mandals, municipal, and corporation division party lines will hoist the party flag in their area and start the program. Women activists will put a drop of saffron on the women of each house and distribute pamphlets explaining the development and welfare programs undertaken by the TDP governments under the leadership of NTR and Chandrababu Naidu in the past.
Kasani said that the TDP’s emergence brought social justice in Telangana, with the abolition of the Patel Patwari system, governance to the people with the establishment of the mandal system, girls’ share in property, reservation for BCs in local body elections, pucca houses for the poor, Janata cloths, Rs. 2 kg rice schemes, welfare hostels, and the establishment of gurukulas for the poor. The development made by NTR and Chandrababu in the united state will also be explained to the people as part of this program.
Reacting to Revanth Reddy’s recent statement that TDP is like his mother party, Kasani declared that he would welcome Revanth if he joins the TDP.
