Death Toll Rises to Over 60 in Moscow Terror Attack
More than 60 individuals tragically lost their lives in a terrorist attack at Moscow’s Crocus City Hall, as reported by the Investigative Committee of Russia (ICR) on Saturday.
The ICR confirmed the devastating toll, stating, “It has been initially confirmed that more than 60 people died as a result of the terrorist attack. Unfortunately, the number of victims may increase,” as per RT.

Initial reports indicated that at least 40 individuals were shot dead, with over 100 injured, as three to five unidentified gunmen, equipped with assault rifles and body armor, launched an indiscriminate attack in a Moscow mall on Friday.
The mall, situated just outside Moscow’s boundary, came under attack around 8 p.m. (local time) during a concert by the renowned rock band Piknik, resulting in chaos and carnage.
Videos from the scene showed bodies scattered as the assailants targeted fleeing concertgoers, lobbing hand grenades, and igniting incendiary devices, causing the building to erupt in flames.
With the extent of the attack and the ensuing fire, the death toll is expected to rise, with reports suggesting the collapse of the building’s roof.

Emergency responders, including ambulances and heavily armed police units, swiftly mobilized to the scene, with a helicopter dispatched to aid firefighting efforts.
The attackers, who did not attempt hostage-taking or issue statements, barricaded themselves inside the burning building.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova condemned the attack, stating, “The international community is obliged to condemn this horrendous crime!”
The United States also denounced the incident, with National Security Council spokesman John Kirby describing the images as “horrible and just hard to watch.”
