Ayodhya, March 25: Holi festivities reached unparalleled heights in Ayodhya on Monday, marking the first celebration after the inauguration of the Ram temple earlier this year. Devotees flocked to the temple complex from the break of dawn, eager to partake in the ‘darshan’ and offer ‘gulal’ to the revered deity.

Amidst a jubilant atmosphere, devotees engaged in Holi revelries using flower petals and ‘gulal’ within the temple premises. The occasion was made even more auspicious as ‘Chappan Bhog’, comprising 56 sumptuous dishes, was presented to Lord Ram, adorned in exquisite pink brocade attire.

Accompanied by the melodious strains of Holi songs, priests and devotees joined in exuberant dance performances as a gesture of devotion to Ram Lalla. Acharya Satyendra Das, the chief priest of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple, remarked, “Ram Lalla celebrates his inaugural Holi post the Pran Pratishtha ceremony in the temple. His divine idol was bedecked with floral adornments, while ‘gulal’ graced his sacred forehead.”

The grandeur of the Holi celebration in Ayodhya serves as a testament to the deep-rooted reverence and devotion towards Lord Ram, echoing throughout the sacred city. As devotees cherish this momentous occasion, the spirit of unity and festivity envelops Ayodhya in an aura of joy and devotion.
