On Saturday evening, a 6.1-magnitude earthquake shook the Kushiro coast of Hokkaido, Japan’s northern main island, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA). The epicentre was located at a latitude of 42.8-degree north and a longitude of 145.1-degrees east, with a depth of 60 km. No tsunami warning has been issued at this time. The earthquake struck at 10:27 p.m. local time. No immediate reports of damage or injuries have been reported.
