Initially, the Bharatha Rastra Samithi (BRS) had announced Kavya as their candidate for the Warangal parliamentary seat. However, in a surprising move, Kavya declined the BRS’s nomination to contest in the upcoming elections.
Shortly thereafter, she made headlines once again by joining the Congress party alongside her father, Kadiyam Srihari.
