A total solar eclipse is set to captivate observers on April 8, 2024, spanning across North America, including Mexico, the USA, and Canada. Although not visible in Asia, including India, enthusiasts worldwide can catch the event via live stream, courtesy of NASA.
The eclipse’s journey begins in Mexico at 11:07 a.m. (PDT) and concludes in Maine around 01:30 p.m. (PDT). In India, the eclipse starts at 9:12 p.m. (IST) and extends into the early hours of the 9th, ending at 02:22 a.m. While it won’t be directly observable in Asia, the McDonald Observatory in Texas, in collaboration with NASA, will provide live coverage.
Addressing common misconceptions, NASA dispels beliefs surrounding negative vibrations or food adulteration during eclipses. Studies reveal no harm in consuming food during these phenomena, contrary to popular belief. NASA asserts that eclipse-induced radiation poses no threat to food items, including salt, pulses, or crops.
