Over 21 Lakh Cylinders Distributed Under Mahalakshmi Scheme: Civil Supplies Commissioner

Hyderabad, April 13 – The Civil Supplies Commissioner disclosed that as part of the Mahalakshmi scheme, over 21.29 lakh cylinders have been distributed across the state at a nominal price of Rs. 500. Since the inception of the program, a staggering 39.33 lakh beneficiaries have been identified through Prajapalana, with 18.86 lakh beneficiaries availing themselves of the subsidized cylinders to date.

Highlighting the government’s commitment to subsidizing these essential commodities, it was revealed that a subsidy totaling Rs. 59.97 crores has been shouldered by the government since February 27th, facilitating access to affordable cooking fuel for citizens across various demographics.

The Mahalakshmi scheme stands as a testament to the government’s dedication to ensuring the welfare and well-being of its citizens, particularly in the realm of essential services.
