
Rabhi Season Funds Released for Farmers in Telangana

The assurance funds for farmers during the Rabhi season have been disbursed in Telangana, ensuring support for agricultural endeavors across the state. The Agriculture Department has confirmed that the second installment of funds has commenced, with payments being deposited into the accounts of eligible farmers.
Previously, investment assistance was extended to farmers owning less than five acres of land. However, starting Monday, aid payments have been directed towards farmers with more substantial land holdings, specifically those with over five acres. Notifications were sent to farmers, indicating the deposit of funds into accounts, with Monday seeing the disbursement to farmers owning up to seven acres.

An estimated 6.65 lakh farmers are set to benefit from a total allocation of Rs. 2,423 crore, with funds expected to reach recipients by Wednesday.
The Rythu Bandhu program continues to provide essential support to farmers, with 68.99 lakh individuals benefiting from assistance during the last monsoon season. Under the new government, a commitment has been made to extend Rythu Bharosa assistance to the same number of farmers during the Rabhi season.
A sum of Rs. 7,625 crore has been earmarked for distribution across 1.52 crore acres throughout the state. Thus far, Rs. 5,575 crore has been disbursed to 64.75 lakh farmers owning less than five acres, while Rs. 2,050 crore is being allocated to 4.24 lakh farmers with larger land holdings.

Additionally, Rs. 423 crore is being directed to 2.40 lakh farmers facing account-related issues, ensuring comprehensive coverage of eligible recipients. This phase will see 6.65 lakh farmers receive a total of Rs. 2,423 crore in financial assistance.
The distribution of land holdings across the state reflects varying degrees of ownership among farmers. Notably, there are 64.75 lakh farmers with less than 5 acres of land, collectively possessing over 11 lakh acres. Further breakdown reveals diverse land distribution among farmers, underscoring the importance of targeted support initiatives.
According to data from the Agriculture Department, efforts are underway to assist farmers across different categories, ensuring equitable distribution of resources.
