New Delhi, May 11: OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has quashed rumors that the company is developing a Google-like search engine. Instead, OpenAI remains committed to its core AI objectives, with plans to enhance its AI chatbot, ChatGPT.

Altman clarified, “Not GPT-5, not a search engine, but we’ve been hard at work on some new stuff we think people will love! Feels like magic to me.”

On Monday, OpenAI will livestream an event to showcase updates related to ChatGPT and its latest model, GPT-4. The company’s decision to focus on these advancements comes after earlier reports suggested an imminent search product launch ahead of Google’s flagship conference, ‘I/O.’

The new GPT-4 Turbo model is now available to paid ChatGPT users. Trained on publicly available data up to December last year, it promises more direct and concise responses, using conversational language.

OpenAI’s commitment to refining its AI chatbot demonstrates its dedication to innovation and user experience. As the AI landscape evolves, ChatGPT continues to evolve alongside it, providing users with powerful and efficient interactions. 🚀🤖
