Jindal Steel & Power Limited’s Chairman, Naveen Jindal, expressed his satisfaction with the company’s experience of working in Andhra Pradesh for many years and sees it as a potential industrial hub in the future. He praised the state government for its visionary leadership and business-friendly environment, which he believes has contributed to its excellent infrastructure, large manufacturing base, and talented youth.
During the Andhra Pradesh Global Investors’ Summit 2023, Jindal announced the company’s plans to set up a 3 million tonne steel plant near Krishnapatnam, with an investment of over Rs 10,000 crores. The plant is expected to provide employment opportunities to more than 10,000 people directly or indirectly.
Jindal also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) during the summit to formalize the agreement. With this investment, the company aims to further strengthen its presence in the state and contribute to the growth of the local economy
