Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s Investment Soars to Rs. 10 Crore with Go Digit IPO

Go Digit General Insurance made waves in the stock market yesterday as it debuted on the exchange with remarkable momentum. Witnessing a surge in its share prices, which crossed the Rs. 300 threshold, the company’s IPO proved to be a lucrative venture. For power couple Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, this translated into substantial gains as their investment in Go Digit yielded impressive returns.

Virat Kohli secured a total of 2,66,667 shares at Rs. 75 each, amounting to an initial investment of Rs. 2 crores. Similarly, Anushka Sharma, investing Rs. 50 lakhs, acquired 66,667 shares, now valued at Rs. 2.5 crores. With the surge in share prices, Virat’s initial Rs. 2 crore investment now stands at Rs. 8 crores, while Anushka’s Rs. 50 lakhs has multiplied to Rs. 2.5 crores. Collectively, their investment, which stood at Rs. 2.5 crores, has ballooned to an impressive Rs. 10 crores in a single day, representing a fourfold increase.

It’s noteworthy that Virat Kohli serves as the brand ambassador for Go Digit, adding another layer of significance to their investment success. The IPO saw GoDigit raise Rs. 1,125 crore by selling 5.48 crore shares. This milestone marks the first instance of companies associated with celebrities making a foray into the stock market.
