Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan Questions Missing Rs. 1,066 Crores in Central Government Funds
In a recent review meeting focused on the Swachh Andhra Corporation, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan raised serious concerns regarding the whereabouts of Rs. 1,066 crores released by the Central Government over the past five years. The meeting, held on Wednesday, was attended by high-ranking officials and engineers who provided a detailed PowerPoint presentation on the corporation’s performance.
During the session, Pawan Kalyan specifically inquired about the funds received from the Central Government and their subsequent expenditure. He highlighted that over Rs. 1,000 crores had been allocated to the state, questioning the officials on the utilization of these funds.
In response, the officials revealed a critical oversight: the finance department of the previous government had not released the funds from the Center to the Swachh Andhra Corporation. This revelation pointed to a significant administrative lapse that has left substantial funds unutilized.
The Deputy Chief Minister’s inquiry underscores the need for transparency and accountability in the management of public funds. The situation calls for a thorough investigation to ensure that the allocated resources are appropriately used to achieve the objectives of the Swachh Andhra initiative.
