The judicial remand of BRS MLC Kavitha has been extended by the Rouse Avenue CBI special court in the ongoing Delhi liquor policy case. Her remand, which was supposed to end today, has been extended until July 18. Kavitha appeared in court via video conference and is currently being held in Tihar Jail.
Kavitha was arrested by the CBI on April 11 in connection with the liquor policy case. Prior to this, she had also been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). After being interrogated by the ED in Tihar Jail, the CBI announced her arrest. Kavitha has been in jail for an extended period due to both ED and CBI cases, and her repeated bail petitions have been consistently rejected by the court.
This extension of judicial remand continues Kavitha’s prolonged legal battle, as she remains in custody while the investigation into the liquor policy case proceeds.
