
“Hyderabad’s Tech Boom: Cognizant’s Massive New Campus to Create 15,000 Jobs”

Cognizant, a leading IT giant, will lay the foundation stone for its new campus in Hyderabad tomorrow, August 14th. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and IT and Industries Minister Sridhar Babu recently held discussions with Cognizant CEO Ravikumar during his visit to the United States.
Following an agreement signed with the state government on August 5th in New Jersey, Cognizant plans to expand its operations in Hyderabad. The new campus, spanning 10 lakh square feet, will create 15,000 additional jobs. The facility will focus on advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, digital engineering, and cloud solutions.

CM Revanth Reddy is scheduled to return to Hyderabad on the morning of August 14th, following his trip to the United States and South Korea. He will participate in the foundation stone-laying ceremony alongside Cognizant CEO Ravikumar.

Founded in Chennai in 1994, Cognizant has since expanded globally and commenced operations in Hyderabad in 2002. Currently, there are five campuses located throughout the city’s IT corridor, employing approximately 57,000 people. Cognizant is recognized as the second-largest employer in the IT sector in the state, having provided jobs to 7,500 individuals from 34 educational institutions in the past two years.
In the last financial year, Cognizant recorded IT exports worth Rs. 7,725 crore from Telangana. Over the past five years, the company has contributed Rs. 22.5 crore to various social programs under its Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.
