On her return from the Paris Olympics, World Women’s Boxing Champion Nikhat Zareen, accompanied by her father Mohammad Jameel Ahmed, met with Telangana Government Advisor Mohammed Ali Shabbir at his residence in Jubilee Hills on Sunday. During the visit, Zareen expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the Telangana Government, specifically acknowledging Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Shabbir Ali for their substantial support. The State Government has recognized her achievements by allotting her a prestigious Group-1 post and 600 square yards of land.
Zareen praised the government’s forward-thinking approach to sports promotion, emphasizing that the job, land, and other incentives would encourage the youth to pursue sports without fearing for their future. She highlighted how such measures could play a pivotal role in shaping the careers of young athletes.

Shabbir Ali congratulated Zareen on her outstanding performance in the 2024 Paris Olympics, where she showcased her exceptional talent and determination. He expressed optimism about her future, particularly her potential to secure a gold medal in the 2028 Olympics. Shabbir Ali also reaffirmed the State Government’s unwavering support for Zareen’s boxing career, wishing her success in upcoming competitions.
