Telangana Government Orders Recruitment for 169 Posts in HYDRA
Hyderabad, September 25,2024
The Government of Telangana has sanctioned the recruitment of 169 new posts in HYDRA (Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Monitoring and Protection Agency), an organization formed to address the issue of illegal structures and protect public assets in Hyderabad. Official orders have been issued to allocate these posts, which include four Additional Commissioners, five Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs), 16 Executive Sub-Inspectors (ESIs), 60 Constables, 12 Station Fire Officers, and 10 Assistant Engineers, all on deputation.

HYDRA was established with the mission to dismantle unauthorized structures, respond to disaster situations, and monitor key assets across Hyderabad. The agency plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety of public and private property, especially in areas prone to encroachments and illegal constructions. By reinforcing its workforce, the Telangana government aims to bolster HYDRA’s operational capacity, allowing it to act swiftly in response to disaster situations and prevent illegal activities.
The recruitment of additional personnel will help improve coordination between different departments, enhance enforcement, and ensure quicker response times. This move is seen as part of the government’s broader effort to maintain the integrity of urban development and safeguard the city’s infrastructure from unauthorized encroachments.
