Hyderabad: In a major development for urban infrastructure, Hyderabad District Collector Anudeep Durishetty issued a preliminary notification on November 19 to acquire land for the construction of two elevated corridors in the Secunderabad Cantonment area. These projects are part of the state government’s Strategic Road Development Project (SRDP) aimed at improving connectivity and alleviating traffic congestion.
Project Details
The proposed elevated corridors include:
1. State Highway 1 (Rajiv Rahadari): From Gymkhana Ground to the Outer Ring Road (ORR) Junction near Shamirpet.
2. National Highway 44: Connecting Paradise Junction to Dairy Farm.
These projects are expected to significantly reduce travel time and provide seamless transit for thousands of commuters daily.

During a meeting with revenue officials at the Hyderabad Collectorate, Collector Durishetty directed authorities to expedite the land acquisition process. He stressed the importance of adhering to strict timelines to ensure smooth execution of the project.
