Hyderabad, Telangana: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy paid his maiden visit to Kanha Shanti Vanam, the global headquarters of Heartfulness, located in Nandigama mandal of Rangareddy district on the outskirts of Hyderabad, on Sunday.
During his visit, the Chief Minister explored various activities aimed at promoting education, sustainability, and afforestation. He commended the innovative soft skills training imparted to students, including activities like identifying colors and reading words blindfolded, and suggested implementing similar programs in government and residential schools across Telangana.
Revanth Reddy also toured the Tree Conservation Centre and the tissue-culture lab at Kanha Shanti Vanam, where administrators briefed him on techniques for tree development and plant cultivation. The visit included a guided tour of the unique rainforest and the meditation center, where he planted a sapling as a gesture of support for environmental conservation.
The Chief Minister met with Daaji, the guide of Heartfulness and president of Shri Ram Chandra Mission, to discuss Heartfulness’ impactful initiatives in sustainability, afforestation, education, and women empowerment. Praising Daaji’s visionary leadership, the CM stated:
“Kanha Shanti Vanam is the pride of Telangana today. Under Daaji’s guidance, Heartfulness has set global standards in building an ecosystem. International communities have much to learn from its achievements in afforestation, sustainability, and education.”
Daaji reciprocated the appreciation, saying, “Our aim is to create heaven on earth by raising human consciousness through a balanced approach. The government’s support inspires us to strive harder for public welfare.”
The visit was attended by Chief Minister’s Advisor Vem Narender Reddy, Government Advisor Srinivasa Raju, MLA Shankaraiah, and other senior officials.
