Arshdeep Singh Becomes India’s Leading Wicket-Taker in Men’s T20Is
Arshdeep Singh, India’s left-arm fast bowler, etched his name in cricket history by becoming the nation’s highest wicket-taker in men’s T20 Internationals. The remarkable achievement came during the T20I series opener against England at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata, on Wednesday.
Arshdeep, playing his 61st T20I match, surpassed leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal’s record of 96 wickets. He accomplished the feat by dismissing England openers Phil Salt and Ben Duckett. Salt fell to a short ball in the opening over, caught by Sanju Samson, while Duckett’s leading edge was smartly taken at cover during Arshdeep’s second over.
