Dr. Sravan Dasoju Hails KCR as ‘Father of Telangana’ on His Birthday
Hyderabad, February 17, 2025: Senior BRS leader Dr. Sravan Dasoju extended warm birthday greetings to former Chief Minister Shri Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) on his 71st birthday, hailing him as the “Father of Telangana” for his instrumental role in the formation and development of the state.
Taking to social media, Dr. Sravan praised KCR for transforming the dream of a separate Telangana into reality and laying the foundation for a state rooted in self-respect, self-rule, and self-reliance. He credited KCR’s leadership for ushering in unprecedented growth, welfare schemes that reached every household, irrigation projects that revitalized barren lands, and infrastructure that fueled integrated socio-economic development.
“Under your visionary leadership, Telangana witnessed remarkable progress. Governance was no longer just about administration—it became a mission to uplift the marginalized and ensure prosperity for all,” Dr. Sravan wrote in his post.
He also remarked that while political opponents may attempt to erase KCR’s legacy, history will always recognize his contributions to shaping Telangana’s identity and progress. “A leader like you is not just celebrated on birthdays but remembered eternally in the hearts of millions,” he added.
Dr. Sravan concluded his message by wishing KCR great strength, health, and many more years of service to the people of Telangana.
KCR’s Enduring Legacy in Telangana
Born on February 17, 1954, in Chintamadaka, Medak district, Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao led the movement for Telangana’s statehood, culminating in its formation on June 2, 2014. As the state’s first Chief Minister, he spearheaded flagship programs like Rythu Bandhu, KCR Kits, Mission Bhagiratha, and Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project, which significantly transformed the state’s agricultural and socio-economic landscape.
KCR’s tenure also saw Telangana emerge as a model state in various sectors, including infrastructure, power supply, industrial growth, and IT development. His governance style, often described as people-centric and welfare-driven, earned him widespread recognition.
