Nagar Kurnool, March 7: Efforts to rescue the missing workers inside the Nagar Kurnool tunnel have intensified, with a four-member team of ANVI Robotics experts entering the tunnel at 11:25 AM today to assist in the ongoing search and rescue mission.
Robotics Experts and IIT Madras Professor Join the Mission
- A professor from IIT Madras is accompanying the ANVI Robotics team from Hyderabad, providing technical guidance and expertise.
- The team had previously inspected the tunnel’s surroundings on Thursday and, after reassessing the situation, decided to deploy advanced robotic technology to aid the search efforts.
- Cadaver dogs are also actively searching for any trace of the missing workers inside the tunnel.
Disaster Management Team Provides Crucial Support
- Disaster Management Secretary Arvind Kumar is closely monitoring the situation and providing necessary logistical and technical support to the rescue teams working outside.
- He is maintaining constant communication with personnel inside the tunnel via mobile phones, ensuring quick response to any emerging challenges.
- Upon receiving reports of a battery issue inside the tunnel and the need for a rose cutter, Arvind Kumar immediately dispatched a locomotive to assist the operations.

- The rescue mission is being led by Disaster Management Secretary Arvind Kumar, in coordination with Nagar Kurnool District Collector Badawat Santosh and Superintendent of Police Vaibhav Gaikwad Raghunath.
