
Telangana Govt Extends Deadline for Lifting Auctioned Rabi 2022-23 Paddy
Hyderabad, March 11, 2025 – The Telangana government has granted a three-month extension for bidders to pay and lift the auctioned paddy from the Rabi 2022-23 season, as per the recommendations of the Cabinet Sub-Committee and the Internal Officers Committee. The decision was formalized through G.O.Rt.No.9, issued by the Consumer Affairs, Food & Civil Supplies (CAF&CS) Department on March 11, 2025.
According to the government order, bidders can continue lifting the auctioned paddy without incurring any penalties during this extended period. However, strict measures will be taken against millers responsible for missing paddy, and recovery proceedings will be initiated as per the prescribed procedure.

The Commissioner of Civil Supplies and the Vice Chairman & Managing Director of Telangana State Civil Supplies Corporation Limited (TSCSC) have been directed to implement these measures effectively.

Government’s Official Approval
The order, issued in the name of the Governor of Telangana, was signed by D.S. Chauhan, Principal Secretary to the Government. Copies of the order have been forwarded to key government officials, including the Chief Minister’s Office, the Civil Supplies Minister, and the Chief Secretary.
This decision comes after careful examination of recommendations from the Cabinet Sub-Committee (dated January 4, 2025) and the Internal Officers Committee (dated January 3, 2025), ensuring a structured approach to paddy procurement and accountability in the civil supplies sector.


The extension is expected to provide relief to bidders and millers, facilitating smooth procurement operations while maintaining strict monitoring to prevent irregularities.
