Hyderabad: The Telangana government has unveiled the State Budget for 2024-25, with a total outlay of ₹3,04,965 crore, prioritizing rural development, social welfare, and infrastructure. The budget includes ₹2,26,982 crore for revenue expenditure and ₹36,504 crore for capital expenditure.

Budget Boost for Panchayati Raj and Women & Child Welfare
Among the biggest winners in this budget are the Panchayati Raj and Rural Development Department, which has been allocated ₹31,606 crore, an increase from ₹29,816 crore last year. Similarly, the Women and Child Welfare Department has received ₹2,862 crore, compared to ₹2,736 crore in the previous financial year.

The Telangana government has earmarked ₹58,084 crore for nine flagship schemes, focusing on welfare and development programs. Key allocations include:
- Interest-Free Loans: ₹1,511 crore
- Future City Authority: ₹100 crore
- Sanna Vadla Bonus: ₹1,800 crore
- Current Subsidy: ₹11,500 crore

The Telangana Budget 2025-26 places a strong emphasis on welfare, with significant allocations across various sections of society. Women’s welfare has been allocated ₹2,862 crore, while Scheduled Caste (SC) welfare receives the highest share at ₹40,232 crore. Scheduled Tribe (ST) welfare has been granted ₹17,169 crore, Backward Class (BC) welfare ₹11,405 crore, and Minority welfare ₹3,591 crore. In total, ₹75,259 crore has been earmarked for welfare across all departments, underscoring the government’s commitment to social justice and inclusive development.
