Hyderabad, March 24: A massive gas cylinder explosion at Crescent Cafe & Bakers in SR Nagar on Sunday night created panic in the area, injuring five people, two of whom are reported to be in critical condition. The incident occurred near Hari Dosa, just a short distance from Satyam Theater, and caused significant damage to the shop and nearby establishments.

According to witnesses, the explosion was sudden and powerful, shaking the surrounding area. “We heard a loud blast, and within seconds, smoke and debris filled the air. People ran in panic as flames engulfed the shop,” said a local resident. Due to the force of the explosion, furniture, bakery items, and other materials from the shop were thrown onto the street.
Passersby and nearby shopkeepers immediately rushed to the scene to help the injured before emergency services arrived. Some victims were reportedly unconscious and suffering from severe burns and fractures.
