Activist Successfully Campaigns for Reopening of Primary School in Mahabubabad
Mahabubabad,March 21: Activist Shanthan Ramaraju successfully campaigned for the reopening of a primary school in ‘Sriram Nagar (BC Colony)’ in , Mahabubabad. The school had been closed for three years due to a purported lack of students. After noticing the plight of children in the area who were deprived of education, Ramaraju took action and compiled a list of students who were not attending school. With the help of parents, he brought their plight to the attention of the Collector and staged a small protest.
Moved by the children’s request for education, the Collector promised to reopen the school. Shanthan Ramaraju followed up with the Collector’s office several times, and on March 21, 2022, the school was finally reopened. Today marks the one-year anniversary of the school’s reopening, and it is currently running successfully with 29 students and two teachers.
Shanthan Ramaraju expressed his gratitude towards Collector Shashanka for fulfilling his promise, Principal Mohammad Ali for shaping the future of the children, and Keerthi Ravinder and Sugunamma for preparing lunch for the students. Ramaraju, who has organized several public welfare programs, stated that the satisfaction he derives from this particular “fight” for the reopening of the school has been the greatest of all.
