AIIMS Delhi Ranks Among World’s Top 100 Hospitals

New Delhi, April 18, 2025: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi has achieved a remarkable milestone, securing the 97th position in the 2024 list of the world’s best hospitals, compiled by Newsweek and Statista. This prestigious recognition places AIIMS Delhi among the global elite in healthcare, reaffirming its reputation as India’s premier medical institution.

The rankings, based on criteria such as patient care, research, innovation, medical expertise, and patient feedback, evaluated over 2,400 hospitals across 30 countries. AIIMS Delhi’s entry into the top 100 underscores its continued commitment to cutting-edge medical research, top-quality treatment, and advanced healthcare infrastructure.

Other Indian institutions also earned notable rankings, reflecting the country’s growing prominence in global healthcare. Medanta – The Medicity in Gurugram secured the 146th position, known for its specialized services and world-class facilities. Meanwhile, the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) in Chandigarh was ranked 228th, recognized for its academic excellence and patient-centric approach.

Healthcare experts have hailed the inclusion of three Indian hospitals in the global list as a testament to India’s advancing medical capabilities and its strides toward becoming a global hub for healthcare and medical tourism.
