
Hyderabad, April 30, 2025 – The Telangana State Civil Supplies Corporation has achieved international acclaim for its exemplary services in the public distribution system, securing the coveted ISO 9001:2015 certification with a five-star rating. This recognition, a first for any state civil supplies department in India, underscores the corporation’s commitment to quality and efficiency in delivering essential services.
In a ceremony held at the Civil Supplies Central Office in Erramanzil Colony, State Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister Captain N. Uttam Kumar Reddy presented the ISO certificate to Departmental Principal Secretary D.S. Chauhan. The certification, awarded by the international organization HYM, acknowledges the corporation’s adherence to global quality standards, particularly in its pioneering fine rice distribution program—a unique initiative in India.
Minister Reddy lauded Principal Secretary Chauhan and the department’s staff for their collective efforts in transforming the corporation into a globally recognized entity. “This achievement reflects the dedication of our team in ensuring world-class services,” he said.
Chauhan described the certification as a historic milestone for the Telangana Civil Supplies Department. “Our policies and commitment to excellence in the public distribution system have earned us this international honor,” he stated, emphasizing the department’s role in setting a benchmark for others.
