Nandini Gupta Shines as Asia & Oceania Top Model Winner at Miss World 2025 in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, May 25, 2025: Nandini Gupta, representing India, has clinched the prestigious Top Model title for the Asia & Oceania region at the 72nd Miss World pageant, held at the Trident Hotel in Hyderabad on May 24, 2025. Her stellar performance on the runway, marked by elegance, confidence, and a captivating presence, secured her a coveted spot in the quarterfinals of this year’s global beauty festival.

The Top Model competition, a highlight of the Miss World 2025 pageant, featured 108 delegates from across the globe, each showcasing their unique style and cultural heritage. Nandini stood out among the contestants, not only for her striking appearance but also for the powerful story she conveyed through her fashion—a stunning maroon velvet lehenga from the late designer Rohit Bal’s final collection, Kaaynaat: A Bloom in the Universe. Embroidered with delicate roses and paired with a regal cape, her ensemble was a heartfelt tribute to the legendary designer’s legacy. “As I stand here at the 72nd Miss World Festival in one of his last creations, I feel the weight of this moment,” Nandini shared on Instagram, celebrating Rohit Bal’s storytelling through fashion.

Nandini’s victory was a moment of pride for India, echoing the success of last year’s Miss India, Sini Shetty, who won the Designer Award at the 2024 Miss World pageant held in India. The announcement of Nandini as one of the four continental winners—alongside Miss Namibia Selma Kamanya (Africa), Miss Martinique Aurélie Joachim (Americas and Caribbean), and Miss Ireland Jasmine Gerhardt (Europe)—sent the audience into a frenzy, celebrating her advancement to the Top 40 of the competition.

This achievement is more than a title; it is a testament to Nandini’s individuality, poise, and the power of fashion as a medium of self-expression. Hailing from Kota, Rajasthan, the 21-year-old Femina Miss India World 2023 winner has been a standout contender in the pageant, embodying India’s rich cultural heritage while advocating for inclusivity through her initiative, Project Ekta, which focuses on empowering differently-abled individuals.

The Miss World 2025 pageant, hosted in Hyderabad from May 7 to May 31, continues to captivate global audiences with its celebration of beauty, culture, and purpose. Nandini’s triumph in the Top Model competition has secured her a strong position as she moves forward in the race for the Miss World crown, with the grand finale set for May 31 at the HITEX Exhibition Centre. The nation rallies behind her as she carries India’s pride and heritage onto the global stage.
