Telangana Government Issues Major IAS Reshuffle; Key Postings Across Departments and Districts

Hyderabad, June 12, 2025 — In a significant administrative overhaul, the Telangana Government has issued transfer and posting orders for several IAS officers across departments and districts, aimed at improving governance and administrative efficiency. The orders were issued by the General Administration (SPL-A) Department under G.O. Rt. No. 779.

Key Highlights of the IAS Transfers and Postings:

1. Dr. Shashank Goel (IAS, 1990) is posted as Special Chief Secretary to Government and Resident Commissioner, Telangana Bhavan, New Delhi. Gaurav Uppal (IAS, 2005) is relieved from the post of Resident Commissioner and posted as Secretary, Coordination (GoI Projects & CSS), Telangana Bhavan.
2. Navin Mittal (IAS, 1996), Principal Secretary, Revenue Department, is transferred to the Energy Department. Sandeep Kumar Sultania (IAS, 1998) is relieved from FAC of the Energy Department.
3. N. Sridhar (IAS, 1997), Principal Secretary, SCD Department, is posted as Principal Secretary, PR & RD, RWS & RSAD Department, relieving Lokesh Kumar D.S. (IAS, 2003) from FAC. Sridhar will continue to hold the FAC post of Principal Secretary, Mines & Geology, I&C Department.
4. Dr. Jyoti Buddha Prakash (IAS, 2002) is transferred to the SCD Department and given additional FAC roles in Planning and as EO DG, Telangana Remote Sensing Applications Centre.
5. Lokesh Kumar D.S. (IAS, 2003) is given FAC of Principal Secretary, Revenue Department and Chief Commissioner of Land Administration (CCLA), relieving Navin Mittal from both posts.
6. Harichandana Dasari (IAS, 2010) is appointed as Collector & District Magistrate, Hyderabad, replacing Anudeep Durishetty (IAS, 2018).
7. Rajeevgandhi Hanumanthu (IAS, 2012) is posted to the Registration & Stamps Department and placed in additional FAC roles, replacing Dr. Jyoti Buddha Prakash.
8. T. Vinay Krishna Reddy (IAS, 2013) becomes the new Collector, Nizamabad.
9. G. Srijana (IAS, 2013) takes additional FAC charge of Director, Women & Child Development and Senior Citizens.
10. Siva Sankar Lotheti (IAS, 2013) is posted to the Agriculture & Cooperation Department and given FAC of Joint Secretary, Revenue (DM), relieving S. Harish (IAS, 2015).
11. K. Hymavathi (IAS, 2013) becomes Collector, Siddipet; Vasam Venkateswar Reddy (IAS, 2013) takes over as PD, AIDS Control Society and FAC Director, Institute of Health & Family Welfare.
12. Gowtham Potru (IAS, 2015) is posted as Director (P&A), Singareni Collieries; K. Nikhila (IAS, 2015) is moved to the Fisheries Department and retains FAC as CEO, TGIRD.
13. Valluru Kranthi (IAS, 2016) is appointed MD, Telangana Tourism Development Corporation.
14. Priyanka Ala (IAS, 2016) is posted as Secretary, Telangana Public Service Commission.
15. P. Pravinya (IAS, 2016) becomes Collector, Sangareddy; Sneha Shabarish (IAS, 2017) replaces her as Collector, Hanamkonda.
16. Muzammil Khan (IAS, 2017) is posted as Director, Civil Supplies and Chief Rationing Officer, Hyderabad.
17. Anudeep Durishetty (IAS, 2018) is appointed Collector, Khammam; Dr. E. Naveen Nicolas (IAS, 2018) becomes Director, School Education and FAC SPD, Samagra Shiksha.
18. Chekka Priyanka (IAS, 2018) is posted as Special Commissioner, I&PR and EO Spl. Secretary, GA (I&PR).
19. Chahat Bajpai (IAS, 2019) becomes Municipal Commissioner, GWMC, Warangal; Ashwini Tanaji Wakade (IAS, 2020) goes to Karimnagar as Addl. Collector.
20. B. Shafiullah (IFS, 2003) is appointed Secretary, Minority Welfare and given additional charges of Director, Minorities Welfare and Secretary, TGMREIS.
21. V.S.N.V. Prasad (IFS, 2009) moves to HMDA as Director, Urban Forestry.
22. Nikhil Chakravarthi (IA&AS, 2014) is now Director, Industries, and is relieved from his earlier Commercial Taxes responsibilities.

23 J. Shankaraiah, Additional Director, Office of the Commissioner & Director of Municipal Administration (CDMA), has been transferred and posted as Managing Director, Telangana OILFED, duly relieving Smt. Sk. Yasmeen Basha, IAS (2015) from the FAC of the said post.

24. Prof. P. Srikanth Babu has been entrusted with the FAC of the post of Director, AYUSH, thereby relieving Smt. K. Hymavathi, IAS (2013) from the additional charge.

25.Pavan Kumar, Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TGIIC), has been assigned FAC of the post of Executive Director, TGIIC, replacing Sri Nikhil Chakravarthy, IA&AS, who has been transferred.

26.G. Malsur has been appointed as Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) to the Hon’ble Chief Minister on a contract basis. The government will issue separate orders outlining the terms and conditions of his appointment

This large-scale reshuffle is seen as a strategic move by the Telangana government to streamline administrative operations and bring in experienced leadership across critical departments and districts.
