Govt Launches ₹3,000 FASTag-Based Annual Pass for Private Vehicles from August 15
New Delhi, June 18: In a major move to simplify highway travel and toll payments, the Government of India has announced the launch of a FASTag-based Annual Pass priced at ₹3,000. The scheme will come into effect from August 15, 2025, and is aimed at providing a hassle-free commuting experience for non-commercial private vehicles, including cars, jeeps, and vans.
The Annual Pass will be valid for one year from the date of activation or up to 200 trips, whichever comes first. It is designed to reduce toll plaza congestion, cut down on travel time, and minimize disputes related to toll charges—especially in areas where toll booths are located within a 60-kilometre radius.
A dedicated link for activation and renewal of the pass will soon be made available on the Rajmarg Yatra App as well as the official websites of NHAI and MoRTH.

This new initiative is part of the government’s broader strategy to streamline toll collection and enhance the travel experience on National Highways. By offering an affordable, one-time payment option, the Annual Pass is expected to benefit millions of private vehicle owners across the country.
Officials say the policy is a step forward in addressing long-standing concerns and supporting smoother, more cost-effective travel under the ‘One Nation, One Toll’ vision.
