
Three Killed, One Critically Injured in Tragic Road Accident on ORR Near Bonguluru Exit
Adibatla, July 18 – In a tragic incident during the early hours of Thursday, three people lost their lives and one sustained serious injuries in a devastating road accident on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) near Pillar Number 108, close to the Bonguluru Exit, located between Pedda Amberpet and Bonguluru.
The fatal crash occurred at around 3:26 AM, when a red Maruti Baleno (Registration No. TS07HW5858) traveling from Pedda Amberpet towards Bonguluru rammed into the rear of a stationary lorry under unclear circumstances.
According to the Adibatla Police, the impact was extremely severe, leaving the vehicle completely mangled. Three of the four occupants died on the spot, unable to be rescued in time as they were trapped inside the crushed car. The fourth passenger sustained critical injuries and was immediately rushed to Niladri Hospital in BN Reddy Nagar for emergency treatment.
Police and rescue personnel, including the Station House Officer (SHO) and staff from Adibatla Police Station, along with the National Disaster Response Organization (NDRO) and ACP of Ibrahimpatnam, promptly arrived at the scene to carry out recovery and investigation operations.
Efforts are underway to retrieve the bodies from the wreckage. Authorities have also launched a manhunt for the lorry and its driver, who reportedly fled the scene following the collision. The exact cause of the accident is yet to be determined, and an investigation is currently in progress.
The tragedy has once again raised concerns over the dangers of high-speed driving during late-night hours, as well as the presence of unattended or poorly lit heavy vehicles on highways.
