New Delhi, September 20, 2025 – Tata Motors has announced that it will pass on the entire benefit of the recent GST reduction on passenger vehicles to its customers. The new prices will come into effect from September 22, 2025, the day the revised GST rates are implemented.
Calling it a “progressive and timely decision,” Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited, said the move would make personal mobility more affordable for millions across India.
“In line with the Prime Minister’s vision, the Finance Minister’s intent and our Customer First philosophy, Tata Motors will fully honour the spirit of this reform by passing on the entire benefit of the reduction in GST to our customers,” Chandra said.
With this move, Tata’s popular cars and SUVs will see significant price cuts, ranging from ₹65,000 to ₹1.55 lakh, depending on the model:
- Tiago – up to ₹75,000 cheaper
- Tigor – up to ₹80,000 cheaper
- Altroz – up to ₹1.10 lakh cheaper
- Punch – up to ₹85,000 cheaper
- Nexon – up to ₹1.55 lakh cheaper
- Curvv – up to ₹65,000 cheaper
- Harrier – up to ₹1.40 lakh cheaper
- Safari – up to ₹1.45 lakh cheaper
