Hyderabad, March 27

Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has introduced new AC sleeper buses with high-tech features for the comfort of passengers. The initiative was flagged off by Telangana Transport Minister, Puvwada Ajay Kumar, on the Vijayawada route in LB Nagar, Hyderabad.

The 16 new AC sleeper buses have been designed to compete with private buses and will be available to passengers from Monday. These buses will run on routes to Bangalore, Hubli in Karnataka, Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, Tirupati, and Chennai in Tamil Nadu.

TSRTC has recently launched 630 new super luxury buses, eight non AC sleeper cum seater buses, and four non AC sleeper buses to provide better services to passengers. The response to these new buses has been positive, and the management of TSRTC has decided to introduce AC sleeper buses with state-of-the-art facilities to reach more people traveling to distant places. The AC sleeper buses have been named ‘Lahari-Ammaodi feeling,’ similar to the non-AC sleeper buses.

The event was attended by TSRTC Chairman, MLA Bajireddy Govardhan, TSRTC MD VC Sajjan, IPS, and other senior officials. This initiative is expected to provide passengers with a comfortable and safe travel experience, and the TSRTC hopes to expand the service to other routes in the future.
