
Hyderabad Mayor Vijaya Lakshmi Offers Prayers at Bhagyalakshmi Temple on Diwali
Hyderabad, October 22, 2025: The festive spirit of Diwali shone brightly at the historic Bhagyalakshmi Temple in Bhagyanagar, as Hyderabad Mayor Vijaya Lakshmi Gadwal and her husband Gadwal Babi Reddy offered special prayers to Goddess Bhagyalakshmi on Wednesday.
The Mayor was warmly received by the temple priests with Vedic chants and a traditional welcome, marking the beginning of the sacred ceremony. Accompanied by Table Tennis Association Founder President Sai Prasad Reddy and Kshetra Reddy, the Mayor participated in the special pujas seeking the divine blessings of the Goddess for peace, prosperity, and the well-being of the people of Hyderabad.
As part of the ritual proceedings, the priests felicitated Mayor Vijaya Lakshmi, Babi Reddy, Sai Prasad Reddy, and Kshetra Reddy with traditional shawls, symbolizing divine grace and respect.
The temple precincts were beautifully illuminated with diyas and floral decorations, creating an atmosphere filled with spiritual energy and festive devotion. Devotees thronged the temple premises, joining in the Diwali celebrations that reflected unity, faith, and the eternal victory of light over darkness.
