BSF to Launch Jammu–Bhuj Motorcycle Expedition to Mark 60th Raising Day
New Delhi, November 8: In a unique tribute to its six decades of dedicated service to the nation, the Border Security Force (BSF) is set to launch a special Motorcycle Expedition from Jammu on November 9. The cross-country ride will culminate at Bhuj in Gujarat on November 19, marking the grand celebrations of the 60th Raising Day of India’s “First Line of Defence.”
The expedition will feature 60 BSF riders, including women personnel, symbolizing the force’s strength, discipline, and gender inclusivity. Covering a distance of over 3,000 kilometres, the riders will pass through multiple states and key BSF establishments before reaching Bhuj.
According to BSF officials, the journey aims to highlight the force’s spirit of courage, endurance, and national integration, while also paying homage to the sacrifices made by BSF personnel who serve tirelessly in some of the nation’s most challenging terrains.
Throughout the expedition, the riders are expected to interact with students, youth organizations, and local communities to spread awareness about the BSF’s pivotal role in national security and disaster relief operations. The team will also conduct public outreach activities emphasizing patriotism, border awareness, and the importance of unity in diversity.

The BSF Raising Day, celebrated every year on December 1, commemorates the establishment of the force in 1965. Over the decades, the BSF has grown into one of the world’s largest border-guarding forces, safeguarding India’s frontiers and playing a crucial role in maintaining internal security.

As the motorcycle convoy embarks on this symbolic journey from Jammu to Bhuj, it not only reflects the grit and determination of BSF personnel but also celebrates the unwavering spirit that continues to protect the sovereignty and integrity of the nation.
