Poll of Polls: NDA Poised for Big Win in Bihar; Grand Alliance Faces Major Setback

New Delhi, Nov 11: The BJP-led NDA is set to sweep the *Bihar Assembly elections 2025, with most *exit polls predicting a decisive victory for the ruling alliance and a major setback for the RJD-Congress-led Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance).

The two-phase elections, held on *November 6 and 11, saw heavy voter turnout across the state. According to the *“Poll of Polls” analysis, nearly all major survey agencies forecast a comfortable majority for the NDA, easily crossing the halfway mark of 122 seats in the 243-member Assembly.

In contrast, the Mahagathbandhan appears to be struggling to reach the *100-seat mark, while *Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj, which positioned itself as a third front, seems unlikely to make an impact.

A total of seven polling agencies predict a *clear majority for the NDA, with three projecting the alliance’s tally **above 160 seats. Most exit polls suggest the *Mahagathbandhan could be restricted to double digits, with some giving it a maximum of around 100 seats.

Parties like *Asaduddin Owaisi’s AIMIM, **Jan Suraaj, and *Independents are seen playing a minimal role, collectively winning 2–8 seats.

  • JVC: NDA – 135–150; Mahagathbandhan – 88–103; Others – 3–6.

Across the board, exit polls suggest a *“bumper win” for the NDA, with the *Mahagathbandhan facing a significant decline compared to previous elections.

The official counting of votes will take place later this week, when the final verdict will confirm whether these projections hold true.
